October 1 - Conquest Offshore BV's crane barge Conquest MB1 is heading for London Gateway on the north bank of the river Thames, UK.

Accompanied by tug vessels En Avant 20 and Sea Charly, Conquest MB1 is outbound from Flushing, the Netherlands, under charter by DEME Environmental Contractors (DEC) for a project at the UK port.
 
The 136 m x 36 m x 8 m barge has a free deck space of 3,700 sq m for 9,000 tonnes of cargo, a permissible deck strength of 20 tonnes per sq m and a fully automated anti-heeling system. Its 1,400 tonne crane enables custom reeving with lifting speeds of up to 1.5 m per second, and a swing speed of 1 degree per second.
 
Conquest Offshore says it is targeting oil and gas, as well as wind energy customers for offshore transportation, construction and decommissioning projects.
