Al Faris supports Expo 2020

Al Faris has lifted and installed steel structures measuring up to 46 m in length at a construction project associated with the upcoming Expo 2020 in Dubai.

The weight of each unit ranged from 8 tonnes to 55 tonnes. Due to the long working radius of 132 m during the lifting operations, Al Faris utilised a 1,000-tonne capacity Liebherr crawler crane.

Some of the challenges of the project included a limited area for the crane to be positioned and time constraints for the assembly and dismantling of the crane.

For a separate stage of the project, Al Faris used a Liebherr 750-tonne capacity all-terrain crane to lift and install a structure on a rooftop.
