USA-based DeMase Trucking & Rigging has transported a 1946 Gloster meteor aircraft using a three-axle double drop trailer from Faymonville.

The historical jet fighter was used at the end of World War II and was shipped over to Virginia, USA from England. Without the wing tips, the aircraft measures 22 ft (6.7 m) wide.

From the port, DeMase Trucking & Rigging transported the aircraft to an airport where it will be reassembled before flying to Michigan to be displayed in a museum.

According to Faymonville, the low height of the steerable MegaMax double drop trailer helps operators clear low bridges during road transport.
