April 30 - Two new Liebherr cranes - an LTM 1500-8.1 mobile crane and an LR 1250 crawler crane - have been added to Dornseiff Autokrane und Schwertransporte's fleet.

The company, which is based in Burbach, Germany, ordered the 500-tonne capacity LTM 1500-8.1 all-terrain crane to enhance the existing fleet in Sibiu, Romania. The crane was ordered with a 50 m telescopic boom and 91 m lattice boom - a configuration that enables it to reach hoist heights of up to 142 m and radii of up to 108 m. The new mobile crane will be used for infrastructure projects in wind energy and industry, said Liebherr.

The new LR 1250 crawler will be added to Dornseiff's fleet of lattice boom crawler cranes at its site in Olpe, Germany. With a maximum lifting capacity of 250 tonnes and fitted with a luffing jib, the crane can reach hoist heights of 140 m.

"This crane provides very high load capacities on its luffing jib," said Dornseiff managing director Wolfgang Dornseiff. "What's more we can react to a very wide range of site profiles due to the crane's very flexible set-up and its hydraulic track adjustment."
