October 6 - FOX Brasil Project Logistics has coordinated the transport of six gantry cranes from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to the Peruvian port of Callao, for use in the construction of the Néstor Gambetta tunnel.
The consignment included 218 individual units, with a total volume of 792.06 cu m and weight of 108.5 tonnes. The scope of FOX's work included receiving the cargo in Rio de Janeiro, storing it at the port and coordinating the shipment to Peru.
The Néstor Gambetta tunnel project aims to reduce traffic congestion in the city and improve access to Callao port. Construction work is scheduled for completion in the first half of 2016.
