March 03 - The WCA Family, which includes a heavy lift and project cargo division - WCA Projects Network (WCAPN) had a busy week-long conference in Bangkok, Thailand.

Some 1,300 independent and regional cargo agents representing some 150 countries came together, including those who handle dimensional, out-of-gauge and heavy shipments.

The key business element of the event comprised some 40,000 one-on-one prescheduled meetings. The social element comprised cocktail receptions, gala dinners, city tours, and golf tournaments.

At the event, WCA Family's president and founder David Yokeum was pleased that the current economic turmoil had not kept attendees away. Member delegates also attended a brief plenary session at which the latest member benefits and programmes were presented along with a one-hour orientation for new members explaining all the WCA Family tools available and how best to utilise them to exploit membership to its maximum potential.
