The company says that it will continue to work closely with Sao Paulo-based IRGA, a major Brazilian transport and logistics company and advises that this partnership has proved highly successful in large projects across the region, such as for the wind power industry.

Christiaan Lavooij, managing director of Mammoet Latin America, says: "We are on target in developing Mammoet's activities in Latin America, and further expanding our business by providing a full range of services in support of our clients' complex projects. In addition to operations in Chile, Colombia and Venezuela, we also opened new offices in Bolivia and Rio de Janeiro, reinforcing our local presence even more."

In Europe, Mammoet has also opened a new crane depot in the Port of Antwerp to improve service to customers in the area and support the company's growth over recent years.

Having cranes in the vicinity of Mammoet's customers in the petrochemical, container shipment and dredging industry enables the company to provide quick service and help its customers optimise their project planning and execution.

Director Luc van Bogaert commented: "Our new depot in Antwerp strengthens our position in this leading port. It supports our mission of being a worldwide service provider, which is also close to its customers and provides a service tailored to local needs."
