July 27 - Abu Dhabi-based heavy lift and project cargo airline Maximus Air Cargo has started operating seven cargo flights a week for Etihad Airways between the Middle East, the Indian sub-continent and East Africa.

According to a company statement, the service which commenced on July 1st, utilising two of Maximus' UAE-registered A300-600RFs, will be expanded to Libya, Italy and China from September.

 

Later this summer, Maximus, the largest freighter-only airline in the Middle East, will acquire a factory built A300-600RF to fulfil the Etihad contract, increasing the size of its fleet which includes AN124-100s, IL-76-TDs, Hercules as well as A300-600RFs.
