Merritts adds Nooteboom equipment

Heavy machinery moving specialist Joseph Merritt Group has acquired a Nooteboom trailer that will be used to transport the company’s fleet of Versa-Lift 60/80 forklift trucks.

The four-axle semi low-loader represents an investment of GBP120,000 (USD145,693), said Merritts. It will be equipped with special floor reinforcement, electric remote control axle steering, air suspension with raise and lower functionality, and extra-long hydraulic folding ramps with hydraulic sliding systems.

James Merritt, managing director of the company, said: “We are primarily an engineering business which specialises in the removal, transport and installation of heavy machinery. This requires us to have a continuous programme of re-investment in our transport and lifting equipment.”
