December 14 - Romanian heavy haulage and crane rental services provider Deme Macarale has been using its two new FlexMAX self-steering trailers from Faymonville to transport concrete beams across the country.

Deme Macarale's general manager Cristian Deme explained that the beams being moved range in length from 24 to 46 m and weigh between 20 and 70 tonnes each.

The Romanian company, which took delivery of two 3+5 axle FlexMAX vehicles this year, specialises in transportation of goods for the concrete industry, as well as the installation of those units at various sites. Deme Macarale also provides cranes with a maximum of 750 tonnes of lifting capacity.

According to trailer manufacturer Faymonville, the FlexMAX range of vehicles is ideally suited to navigating roundabouts and tight corners with heavy loads due to its autonomous steering system.
