October 10 - Royal IHC has taken a 50 percent share in Rotterdam Offshore Group (ROG).
Royal IHC said the deal will enable it to strengthen its ship repair and conversion capabilities with the addition of a dedicated facility in Rotterdam, which has uninterrupted access to open sea.
ROG is equipped to handle vessels up to 300 m in length, and has heavy lift crane capacity, a large yard area and a fully equipped workshop. The ROG facility has often been used for offshore oil and gas and wind farm projects, as well as ship repair and conversion projects.
