October 8 - USA based Sterett Crane & Rigging has acquired six self-propelled trailers from Belgian manufacturer Faymonville.

The PowerMAX SPMC self-propelled vehicle is specially designed for the heavy transport sector. It is ideal for situations when tractor units have insufficient pulling force or when space is at a premium, said Faymonville.

Each PowerMAX is driven by a 240kW diesel engine and generates 170 kN force per axle line.

Paul Hönen, North American sales representative for Faymonville, said: "With these power packs, more modules with driven axles can be supplied. Thus loads of several thousand tonnes at optimum distribution can be moved safely and easily."
