Superior bridge service with Imperial

Imperial Crane Services and Superior Construction have utilised a Liebherr LR1300 SX crawler crane to lift six concrete beams for the Chase Street bridge replacement project in California, USA.

With a maximum lifting capacity of 300 tonnes, the LR1300 SX was used to hoist 214,000-lb (97.1-tonne) beams over the course of three nights.

Each beam, measuring 110 ft (33.5 m) long, had to be lifted and relocated to the shoulder of the I-94 highway, which was partially closed for the project.
