Air cargo veteran Ron King sadly passed away on July 29, 2019 after a sudden illness.

With a career in the logistics business spanning nearly 50 years, King was well respected within the airfreight sector having held executive positions at Curtis Air Services, Transamerica Airlines, and World Airways, among others.

He joined Volga-Dnepr as a commercial director for the USA in 2001. He spent 14 years strengthening the carrier’s market position and sharing his tremendous knowledge with colleagues.

Konstantin Vekshin, executive president of charter cargo operation at Volga-Dnepr, said: “During his time with Volga-Dnepr, not only has he reinforced the company’s position, but has also been a tutor to the whole team who engrossed his knowledge, experience and personal approach to business development.

“Ron King will be sadly missed as he was a true personality who possessed the unique knowledge of airfreight. His contribution will always be highly appreciated.”
