Alexander makes for Mongolia

April 3 - Alexander Global Logistics has transported over-dimensional mining equipment from Houston to Ulan Bator in Mongolia, via the port of Tianjin.

The cargo, which included units weighing 46 tonnes, was shipped from Houston to Tianjin in China, where the equipment was transported by truck to the Mongolian capital.

The scope of Alexander's work included pre-carriage in the USA, all handling operations en route, sea freight, Customs clearance in the USA, China and Mongolia, land transport from Tianjin to Ulan Bator and surveys in the loading port and at the final destination.

Alexander arranged the full co-ordination of the transport together with C.H. Robinson Project Logistics in the USA and also cooperated with China's Columbia Pro Rail during shipment from Tianjin to Ulan Bator.

Alexander has operated its own office in Ulan Bator for two years.

Headquartered in Germany, Alexander Global Logistics is a member of the Cargo Equipment Experts (CEE) network and the Project Cargo Network (PCN).
