Bolloré Logistics has coordinated 50 shipments for Sumitomo Corporation’s Muara Laboh geothermal power plant project in West Sumatra, Indonesia.

In total, Bolloré handled the delivery of 15,000 freight tons of cargo, including a 95-ton (86.2-tonne) generator stator and a 65-ton (59-tonne) turbine rotor. Critical equipment was shipped from the port of Yokohama, Japan to Padang, Indonesia. Other origin ports were located in China, South Korea, Malaysia, Europe and the USA.

Located 150 km away from Padang port, Bolloré overcame steep, winding roads to access the project site; the company completed its first road surveys in 2016, prior to the project’s start date in 2018.

For the generator stator and turbine rotor transport operations, Bolloré mobilised three prime movers.

Bolloré completed its project scope in March 2019.
