BOW Terminal has signed an agreement with Groningen Seaports that will see the Flushing-based company establish an additional logistics hub on 22 ha of land in Eemshaven, the Netherlands.

Expected to be operational in the second quarter of 2019, the terminal will be located at Wilhelmina Harbour. The strengthened quay will be able to support 10 tonnes per sq m and have a water depth of 16 m.

Managing director of BOW Terminal, Ludolf Reijntjes, said: “We have had several positive sessions with Groningen Seaports and we are both confident that this new terminal will be an additional asset for the market.

“With this new facility BOW Terminal will focus on four markets: heavy lift, decommissioning, oil and gas and of course offshore wind”.
