Conceptum Logistics has coordinated the shipment of 2,000 freight tons of conveyor equipment from China to a mine in Ecuador.

Conceptum explained that, due to the special nature of the cargo, stowage and loading regulations were strict; everything had to be loaded below deck of the partly chartered vessel and at a maximum of three tiers.

A specialist team from Conceptum Logistics Shanghai, as well as a certified surveyor, was present on site to ensure that the loading operation went smoothly and complied with all the lifting, loading, lashing and safety regulations.

This shipment is the first part of a project which will see Conceptum handle 7,000 freight tons of mining conveyor belt equipment.
