Deep South adds Terex duo

June 3 - Deep South Crane & Rigging has added a 400-tonne capacity Terex CC 2400-1 and a 1,600-tonne Terex CC 8800-1 crawler crane to its fleet.

"Deep South has multiple CC 2400-1 models in its fleet due to this model's durability, flexibility and reliability," said Jim Strobush, regional sales manager for Terex Cranes. "The company sees some new market opportunities on the horizon that will require the high lift capacities of the CC 8800-1 crane."

The design of the super heavy lift CC 8800-1 crane allows for components to be quickly disassembled into weights of less than 45 tonnes for easier, faster and cheaper transport, said Terex.

Assisting the new CC 8800-1 crane with lifting projects at petrochemical sites and on infrastructure projects, Deep South's new CC 2400-1 crawler crane offers a 400-tonne lift capacity as well as a small footprint, improving manoeuvrability at tight project sites.
