Camilla Grieg, who has served as ceo of the shipping company for over 20 years, will assume the role of chair of the board. She will take over from Elisabeth Grieg who will stay on as a member of the board and will continue as chair of Grieg Green and vice chair of G2 Ocean, the joint venture with Gearbulk.

Duke joined Grieg Star as chief business process officer in January 2018. He said: “It has never been a more exciting time or challenging period to lead in our industry. The combination of new technology and decarbonisation targets are converging to give way to a great number of new business model opportunities, [at the] same time we see that these changes can be disruptive for shipping companies unable to change.

“My role as ceo of Grieg Star Group is to ensure that we continue to provide best in class ship management services, whilst we rig our sails for future opportunities and growth.”
