Fairplay Towage begins Spanish operations

Fairplay Towage Group has been awarded a licence to operate harbour tugs in the port of Las Palmas in Gran Canaria. 

“We are confident, that this expansion into Spanish waters will be appreciated by our international clients,” said Walter Collet, managing director of Fairplay Towage Group. According to Collet, the Spanish fleet currently consists of four modern tugs, which are all named after landmarks on the Canary Islands.

He aded that the tugs have already performed the first operations in the port. The company is now looking into gaining the licenses for the surrounding waters of Lanzarote, Tenerife and Fuerteventura.
