Düsseldorf, Germany-based Hess has expanded its fleet with the addition of a Liebherr LTM 1090-4.2 mobile crane.

The company specialises in company relocations, machine assembly and transportation. It started its own crane department four years ago to support in-house projects, in addition to providing rental services.

The four-axle LTM 1090-4.2 crane features a maximum lifting capacity of 90 tonnes and a 60 m telescopic boom. The unit is the largest crane in Hess’ fleet.

Company owner, Joachim Hess, said: “The VarioBase variable support base and VarioBallast adjustable ballast radius are also very helpful in the constricted city centre. They enable us to use a powerful crane which requires very little space.”
