HKV Schmitz + Partner (HKV) has taken delivery of a 230-tonne capacity Liebherr LTM 1230-5.1.

Yvonne Schmitz, managing director of HKV, explained: “It will replace a six-axle 250-tonne [capacity] crane. One of the main factors behind the decision to buy the crane was its powerful, very long 75 m boom – and all on a five-axle chassis."
The Cologne-based crane and heavy haulage company will use the crane for the erection of tower cranes and for work in chemical plants.
