Huisman and ATC develop offshore training

Huisman and Australasian Training Company (ATC) have signed a cooperation agreement for the development of offshore crane training packages in Singapore.

The companies will offer training packages for offshore crane operators, riggers and crane inspectors as well as provide competency assurance solutions.

With this partnership, Huisman and ATC claim they are the only parties offering American API RP2D and Spec 2C training courses for crane operators, riggers and inspectors in Singapore.

Nuphar Notschaele, managing director of Huisman Far East Services, said: “ATC Offshore and Huisman Far East Services have recognised that individuals and organisations require certification and qualifications in accordance with multiple international standards and regulatory bodies.

“We understand the challenges in obtaining certification for personnel and the complexities of logistics, especially when required to attend multiple locations and training providers to undertake, obtain or re-validate existing licensing and qualifications. As a multinational training provider we will act as a ‘one stop shop’ for the qualifications required”.

Public courses offered in Singapore make use of real Huisman cranes or cranes from SMST, a Huisman-affiliated company.
