Hunt & Palmer (H&P) has acquired all of the shares in UK-based Aircraft Chartering Services, upon the retirement of its founder Mark Hugo.

The acquisition of Aircraft Chartering Services, according to H&P, is a sign of further natural consolidation in the air charter business. All staff from Aircraft Chartering Services' office in Surrey, UK, have relocated to the H&P office.

Aircraft Chartering Services has established a diversified client base consisting of orchestras, government departments, niche tour operators and various corporations, said H&P.

Within its freight chartering services, the company handles a wide range of cargoes, including urgent or high value shipments as well as outsize cargo.

Jeremy Palmer, chairman at H&P, said: "We look forward to further developing the Aircraft Chartering Services business as it very neatly complements H&P's existing lines of commercial aviation, business jets, cargo charters and music tours."
