SAL Heavy Lift has transported three mobile harbour cranes from Antwerp to Abidjan, Ivory Coast and Tema, Ghana onboard its heavy lift vessel Amoenitas.

Manufactured by Konecranes, the trio were stowed onboard fully erect and included two GHMK 6470B units and a GHMK 8412 model.

The GHMK 6470B models, measuring 63 m x 14.5 m x 32.8 m and weighing 450 tons (408.2 tonnes) each, were transported to Abidjan.

The GHMK 8412 unit measured 72.35 m x 15 m x 47.2 m and weighed 641 tons (581.5 tonnes), and was transported to Tema.

This shipment represented one of the first consignments for SAL's newly introduced regular service to Africa linking West, South and East Africa with North Europe, the Middle East Gulf and the Indian Subcontinent.
