EGL, a member of the Kadmar Group, has transported two Siemens stators, weighing 243 tons (220.4 tonnes) each, from the Nubaria power station in Egypt to Antwerp.

EGL used a jacking system to load the stators onto 16 axle lines of Goldhofer modular trailers for the transport from Nubaria to Alexandria, a distance of 140 km.

After unloading the stators at the EGL stacking yard, the components were later trucked to the quayside and loaded onboard Amasus Shipping's heavy lift ship, Eemslift Nelli, using the vessel's own cranes.

The ship then sailed from Alexandria directly to Antwerp where the stators were discharged on to a barge for onward transportation to Germany.
