Megalift powers through Malaysia

Malaysian specialised transport provider, Megalift, has transported a variety of oversized components for a 1,440 MW combined-cycle gas turbine power plant project.

Megalift has completed four shipments for the project, including the transport of casing assembly, duct assembly, and top beam assembly units. The heaviest units weighed up to 40 tonnes each and measured 34 m x 3.4 m x 1.75 m.

For the project, Megalift will handle a total of nine shipments. Each consignment includes approximately 60 items each.

According to the Project Cargo Network (PCN), of which Megalift is a member in Malaysia, the power plant is scheduled to come online by July 1, 2020.
