Sleipnir lifts for Leviathan

Heerema Marine Contractors’ semi-submersible crane vessel, Sleipnir, has installed the topsides at Noble Energy’s Leviathan development in the Mediterranean Sea.

The module weighed approximately 15,300 tonnes; Heerema claims this is the heaviest module ever lifted by a crane vessel.

This was the second critical lift that Sleipnir completed for this project. Heerema installed both of the main topsides for Noble Energy in less than 20 hours. The modules have a combined weight of 24,500 tonnes.
