Bolloré raises the bar for Ibecor

August 24 - Bolloré Logistics has transported two out-of-gauge (OOG) boilers to a brewery in Kilinto, Ethiopia on behalf of Ibecor.

The 28.5-ton (25.9-tonne) boilers were transported from Antwerp, Belgium, to the Port of Djibouti.

Bolloré, along with the exclusive agents in Ethiopia, CLS Logistics Services, provided end-to-end logistics services to the brewer and, upon arrival at Djibouti, handled the Customs clearance and transport to the site, which was located 430 km from the port.

The boilers, which had a volume of 183,532 cu m, were unloaded on to two 40 ft roll-trailers and secured with eight steel chain lashings.

Ibecor, a Heineken affiliated company supplying breweries in Africa and the Middle East, has chosen Bolloré, with its offices in Djibouti and Belgium, to provide logistics services for its expansion in Africa.
