Coyne strengthens African network

January 30 - UK all-cargo carrier Coyne Airways has launched new services to over 30 destinations across Africa. The African service will use over 30 interline partners to create a comprehensive network across the continent.

The new services will make use of Coyne's 575 air waybill, which helps to reduce delays when moving freight on more than a single carrier, claims the airline.

Michael Clements, Coyne Airways' commercial director stated that its new style of service for Africa is designed to give forwarders peace of mind when moving freight to challenging destinations. "We don't just offer transportation from A to B, we work closely with customers to ensure that they always know where their shipments are. We are confident we can offer a superior service at a competitive price," he explained.

Larry Coyne, ceo of the carrier, stated: "The market is crying out for more than just point-to-point, and we are confident that we have the experience, network, and contacts on the ground to deliver excellent levels of service."

Clements added that the African market continues to present both import and export opportunities: "There is a lot coming out of Africa, and not just pineapples and roses. Beauty products, textiles, and handicrafts are increasingly being exported, and there is oil and gas equipment which needs to be returned. We can mobilise quickly to deal with those jobs."
