Safmarine MPV appoints Royal Burger in the Benelux

January 24 - Safmarine MPV has appointed Rotterdam, the Netherlands based Royal Burger Group as its liner sales agent in Belgium and the Netherlands, effective February 2013.

Established this month (January), Safmarine MPV is an independent unit within the AP Moller-Maersk (APMM) Group, offering liner services for project cargo and conventional breakbulk to the west African market.

"Setting ourselves up independently allows us to cater more towards our customers' needs. We're confident that with Royal Burger we've found the right partner to meet the growing requirements of our business in the Benelux," stated Jorg Knuttel, managing director of Safmarine MPV.

"The new status of Safmarine MPV within the APMM Group is an exciting development, and Royal Burger Group is proud to have been selected as its liner agent in Belgium and the Netherlands," commented Karel Peters (pictured below), ceo of Royal Burger Group.
