APL has launched the India Pakistan Express 2 (IP2) service.

The weekly service connects India and the Middle East with North European ports, enhancing APL's service coverage in the Indian Subcontinent and in the European markets of Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands and the UK.

The service will commence sailing from Jebel Ali on April 1, 2018. It will call at the ports of Karachi (Pakistan), Nhava Sheva, Mundra (India), Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), Rotterdam (the Netherlands), Hamburg (Germany), London Gateway (UK), Antwerp (Belgium) and Le Havre (France).

In addition to the IP2 service, APL has enhanced its Asia-Latin America network with the introduction of the Quetzal Express (QEX) service. The weekly service connects China, Mexico and the west coast of South America.

According to APL, the QEX service will offer a transit time of 22 days from South China to Mexico, as well as direct connections from Taiwan, Central and South China to Puerto Quetzal in Guatemala and Guayaquil in Ecuador.

The QEX service will commence sailing from Kaohsiung, Taiwan on April 6.

Meanwhile, APL's weekly Chu Lai Haiphong Express (CHX) service has commenced operations. The service connects Shekhou and Hong Kong in China to Vietnam.

Besides transporting materials and parts for the Mazda's car assembly plant in Chu Lai, APL says this service will serve Chu Lai's emerging industrial zones in Quang Nam and the neighbouring Central Coast and Central Highlands provinces.

APL, part of the CMA CGM Group, has special cargo handling facilities and equipment to support project and heavy shipments.
