Barnhart Crane & Rigging has provided a 100-ton (90.7-tonne) lifting capacity crane to replace a 30 ft (9.1 m) church steeple in Nebraska, USA.

The aluminium and copper steeple was manufactured by Campbellsville Industries and will replace the original wooden structure that was destroyed by a fire almost 70 years ago.

Barnhart’s office in Lincoln, Nebraska donated its services as part of the restoration project.

Barnhart director of marketing, Chris Teague, explained: “The fact that someone donated the steeple and the parishioners raised the money to renovate the bell tower is a good example for us all. The least we could do was to donate our services to help restore the steeple in time for Easter.”
