BigLift Shipping's vessel, Happy Star, recently transported its heaviest ship unloader from Kaohsiung, Taiwan, to the port of Onahama, Japan.

The IUK ship unloader was the heaviest Happy Star has handled to date, weighing 1,542 tonnes. It was lifted on board the vessel in Kaohsiung using Happy Star's two 900-tonne capacity mast cranes, 17 m from the ship's side.

The consignment was discharged at the new terminal in Onahama, requiring the unloader to pass the conveyor belt system on the quay, which was achieved with sufficient clearance.

The lifting plan and sea fastening arrangement were prepared in close cooperation with IUK.
