Angel Yllera coordinates prototype wind turbine shipment

August 24 - Spanish shipping group, Angel Yllera, recently coordinated the shipment of a prototype wind turbine through the port of Santander.

The operation, for Danish wind turbine company Vestas, comprised ten items weighing 330 tonnes in total and saw Angel Yllera charter Amasus Shipping's Coral Sea which loaded the cargo in Esbjerg and unloaded it at Pier 8 in Santander.

The transfer of the various items to the jobsite will take place over the next few weeks.

This prototype wind turbine - V112 Vestas 3.0 MW - is the first to be installed outside Denmark.
