Blue Water acquires Frede Matzen

December 13 - Effective January 1, 2018, Ribe, Denmark-based haulier and freight forwarder Frede Matzen will be acquired by Blue Water Shipping.

Frede Matzen will continue as an independent haulier that will contract only for Blue Water Shipping. As part of the deal, Blue Water has taken over the Frede Matzen customer portfolio and equipment.

"Frede Matzen's activities complement ours really well and by adding further skilled employees to our team, we will continue to develop our position as a strong player within this market," said Klaus Bindesbøll from Blue Water Herning.

"I am pleased with the agreement, (which means) our drivers can keep providing the best service for the special transport of heavy items," said Frede Matzen.
