Cargolux expands Chinese network

September 15 - Cargolux Airlines International has expanded its Chinese network with the introduction of a second flight connecting Luxembourg with Beijing and Xiamen, effective September 17.

The new service, which will utilise Cargolux's B747 freighters, will complement the existing Friday flight that was inaugurated in 2006.

The second flight - CV7493 - will leave Luxembourg every Wednesday at 09:00 hours and arrive in Beijing on Thursday at 01:00 hours. The return flight will leave Xiamen on Thursdays at 07:05 hours and arrive in Luxembourg at 14:25 hours.

With the recent introduction of the airline's new Zhengzhou hub, Cargolux's current service offering between Europe and mainland China has grown to 14 weekly frequencies. The airline is looking to grow the number of these flights to at least 18 by the end of 2014.
