Chapman Freeborn founder given lifetime achievement award

May 6 - Chris Chapman, chairman and founder of Chapman Freeborn Airchartering, was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Air Cargo News Awards in London last week, in recognition of his contribution to the air charter industry.

Since founding the Chapman Freeborn group in 1973, Chris has become a well-known figure within the industry through his successes in nurturing the growth of the company into a leading charter service provider. Over the past 35 years the business has developed into a global network of 32 offices in 22 countries, which co-ordinates around 4,500 cargo and passenger charters per annum.

In his acceptance speech, Chris Chapman said: "After nearly 50 years of chartering aircraft, I still enjoy the business and I can't believe how lucky I was to find something that I could do and enjoy. I have an incredible team of dedicated, hardworking colleagues who make it all possible for me."
