Dan-Czech handles Basrah cargoes

Dan-Czech Special Transport has handled the shipment of two column sections, weighing 102 tonnes and 46 tonnes, from Hradec Králové to the port of Melnik.

The pieces, which will form one column, were transported using Dan Czech's Goldhofer hydraulic modular axle lines.

The total dimensions of the column sections measured 39.5 m x 6.3 m x 7.6 m and 30 m x 5.7 m x 7 m.

Along the 130 km route to the port, Dan-Czech cooperated with third party companies for the lifting of power lines, removal of street furniture and ground adjustments.

From the port of Melnik the cargo will be transported by barge to the port of Hamburg where it will be transhipped for onward transportation to the Basrah refinery in Iraq.
