De Jonghe to shoot off 18th BUSINESSrun

March 26 - Flensborg and Associates, a Munich-based sales and consulting firm, has announced that TEJO's founder, Ingrid De Jonghe, will fire the starting pistol the 18th Breakbulk BUSINESSrun in Antwerp.

The run will take place on May 14, 2014 during the forthcoming Breakbulk Europe conference and exhibition.

The BUSINESSrun combines athletics, networking and charitable fundraising for professionals in the heavy lift and breakbulk industries, with visitors and exhibitors from the Breakbulk Europe Conference and Exhibition participating.

Hundreds of runners have taken part in previous BUSINESSruns in cities including Antwerp, Houston, Singapore, New Orleans, Munich, and Shanghai, with thousands of dollars being raised for charitable causes.

The BUSINESSrun event circuit is the brainchild of Anders and Katrin Flensborg, who lead Flensborg and Associates.

The upcoming 18th BUSINESSrun in Antwerp, will start at 07:30 on May 14, 2014, offering a choice of two routes: 5 km for less ambitious runners and a 10 km for more athletic participants, with the start point at the Hilton Hotel in Groenplaats and the finish point at TEJO on Bredestraat.

The participation fee is EUR25.00, with all the proceeds being donated to a local charitable organisation based in Anwterp called TEJO, which offers first-line therapeutic counselling to young people with mental disorders.

Sponsors of the race include Clipper Projects, Port of Antwerp, Ceres Barge Line, BNSF Logistics, Geodis Wilson, Texas Terminals, Zuidnatie Breakbulk NV, Port of Houston, CSX and Journal of Commerce.
