DEME completes East Anglia One installations

DEME has installed 102 Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) 7 MW turbines at the East Anglia One offshore wind farm in the UK.

Working for SGRE, DEME began the turbine installation in June 2019. The vessels Sea Installer and Sea Challenger were deployed for the project, located 43 km off the coast of Suffolk.

Michael Glavind, business unit director at DEME, said: “Together with Scottish Power and our client SGRE, we navigated through the Covid-19 challenges and successfully maintained operations, with the last turbine safely installed.”
