EMS Log coordinates Tatarstan shipment

EMS Log has coordinated the delivery of an asphalt mixing plant to the Tatarstan region of Russia.

The cargoes included tanks from Ankara, Turkey, along with various out-of-gauge (OOG) pieces from several manufacturers in Germany. Each unit had to reach the construction site in sequence and on time.

The tanks were transport by road to Turkey before being loaded onto a seagoing vessel and shipped across the Black Sea to Russia. From there, they were transported 2,000 km to Kasan by the road.

The individual OOG pieces were collected from sites across Germany by heavy haulage specialist Europatrans and transported to the port of Lübeck. From there they were shipped to St. Petersburg. The units were reloaded onto specialised trailers and hauled 1,500 km to Kasan.
