FH Bertling Ltd fined by SFO

FH Bertling Ltd, the former subsidiary of Bertling Logistics, was handed a GBP850,000 (USD1 million) fine for its involvement in the bribery case relating to an oil exploration project in Angola.

The investigation began in September 2014, with the first charges announced in July 2016. Six individuals and the company pleaded guilty while one defendant was acquitted.

FH Bertling Ltd has been deconsolidated and sold. It is currently in administration and is no longer connected to the Germany-headquartered Bertling Group.
