Focus 30 construction progresses

Construction is moving ahead for Mammoet’s first Focus 30 crane, which will be available for work later this year.

In October, HLPFI reported that the first steel had been cut for the Focus 30 – a heavy lifting solution for use in confined spaces such as plants and inner cities. According to Mammoet, approximately 1,000 tons (907.2 tonnes) of steel will be required for the construction of the crane.

Fabrication of the upper and under carriers is being carried out by structural steel specialists Rometal. Once completed, the fabricated parts will be delivered to Mammoet’s Westdorpe facility in the Netherlands for assembly and testing.
