K+N in European reshuffle

June 21 - With effect from October 1, Kuehne + Nagel is establishing two organisational units focusing on central and eastern Europe, and western Europe respectively.

Headquartered in Hamburg, the central and eastern Europe operation will consolidate Kuehne + Nagel's German organisation and its operations in eastern Europe. The western Europe regional operation will be headquartered in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Hansjoerg Rodi
will join Kuehne + Nagel in October to head up the company's central and eastern Europe operation. Rodi most recently served as ceo of DB Schenker Logistics' central Europe division.

Peder Winther will become regional manager of western Europe at Kuehne + Nagel. Erwin Wittemaier will take over his current role as head of the Middle East/Africa region.
