Manitowoc steps out of the states

Manitowoc’s Niella Tanaro production facility in Italy has begun manufacturing Grove GRT8100 rough-terrain cranes.

Until now, the production of the Grove GRT8100 crane model was exclusive to Manitowoc’s factory in Shady Grove, Pennsylvania.

According to Manitowoc, starting production of the Grove model in Italy will reduce lead times and shipping costs for European buyers.

An additional model, the 80-tonne capacity Grove GRT880, will also be manufactured in both Italy and Shady Grove by the end of the year.
