Rhenus PartnerShip acquires inland waterway specialist

Inland waterway shipping specialist Rhenus PartnerShip acquired ČSPL from the ARGO Group earlier this month.

“By acquiring ČSPL we’re planning to continue expanding our presence on European inland waterways. ČSPL, which operates more than 30 vessels and has many qualified workers, fits into our existing business activities very well,” said Thomas Maassen, the spokesperson for the managers of Rhenus PartnerShip.

ČSPL, based in the Czech Republic town of Děčín, provides are range of services including the transportation of bulk commodities, containers and project loads on the European inland waterway network.

The acquisition remains subject to approval by the authorities.
