SHL to install North Sea weather stations

October 29 - Cyprus based Seaway Heavy Lifting (SHL) has acquired a transportation and installation contract in the East Anglia Offshore Wind zone from Wood Group Engineering (North Sea) of Aberdeen.

Under the contract, SHL Contracting will be responsible for the transportation and installation of two weather-monitoring stations for the East Anglia Offshore Wind zone, located in the southern North Sea, East Anglia Field, UK.

The offshore weather monitoring stations comprise of two conventional mono-piles weighing 399 tonnes and 616 tonnes, two 127 tonne grouted transition pieces, and two 43 tonne lattice towers.

SHL will execute the work in the second quarter of 2013.
