SIR orders from Konecranes

Servizi Industriali (SIR) has ordered a Gottwald mobile harbor crane from Konecranes for its operations at the port of Brindisi, southeastern Italy.

The Model 5 G HMK 5506 variant, which has a lifting capacity of 125 tonnes, will handle mostly bulk but also general and project cargoes. Smart crane features, including a hoisting height assistant and land-side lowering, make the job of the operator easier and safer, said Konecranes.

The unit will be delivered in May 2020 and should come online during June.
